Most MVPs die in development. Yours won't.

Agencies overpromise, outsource, and hand you a codebase nobody can maintain. We work differently: senior designers and engineers in one London studio, working in weekly sprints you can actually see. You get a product that ships, and holds up once it does.

Two very different starting points.

I'm a founder building a new product

You need someone to turn an idea into a scope that can actually ship, protect the budget from feature creep, and make the technical decisions you should not have to make alone.

See how a build runs

I'm a product team needing delivery capacity

You know what you want built. You need senior capacity that integrates with how you already work, holds an architecture standard, and hands back something your engineers can own.

See how we build

Eight stages. Every project, every time.

Every project runs the same way, whichever band it sits in. Weekly demos throughout, so nothing is a surprise at the end.

01

Research

Who the product is for, what they currently do instead, and which assumptions would be expensive to get wrong.

02

Wireframes & architecture

Screen-by-screen structure alongside the technical decisions that are ruinous to change later — data model, tenancy, auth.

03

UX & UI design

The full interface, designed properly before a line of production code is written.

04

Design testing

The designs put in front of people before they are built. Changing a screen is cheap; changing a shipped feature is not.

05

Development

Sprint-based build with weekly demos. No black box, and no waiting until the end to see it.

06

QA & testing

The built product tested against the spec, across browsers and devices, before anyone calls it done.

07

Environment setup

Infrastructure, deployment pipeline and monitoring, configured so the product can be run by someone other than us.

08

Launch

Go-live, handover and the ongoing partnership through growth and iteration. We stay after launch day.

Why funded teams choose Synmek.

One team. Zero outsourcing.

Every element designed and built in-house, with a single team accountable for the outcome.

Senior-only, sprint-based.

Weekly demos, transparent budgets, and detailed proposals. Published price bands, so you know before you ask.

Built to scale, not just to demo.

React, Next.js, Laravel, Node, and AWS. Production-grade stacks your future engineering team will thank you for.

What “built to scale” actually means

Four decisions made first

Tenancy, identity, permissions and billing. These are the ones that are ruinous to change later, so they are settled before any feature is built. Everything after them is designed to be replaceable, because your first version is a hypothesis and it is usually partly wrong.

Security that is not a slide

Encryption in transit and at rest, secrets never in the repository, dependency scanning in CI, least-privilege access, structured audit logging and tested backups. For SOC 2 or ISO 27001 we build to the technical controls and work alongside your compliance provider — we are engineers, not auditors.

A handover that actually hands over

Repository with full history, infrastructure-as-code or a documented environment, architecture notes covering the decisions the code does not explain, runbooks and a recorded walkthrough. The test: another competent team should be able to take over without speaking to us.

The full technical detail — stack, integrations, infrastructure, what survives when you scale — is on our SaaS development page.

Synmek has helped transform our online presence, and we've seen a noticeable increase in traffic and customer engagement. Their attention to detail and dedication to our success make them an invaluable partner.

You are not really choosing between agencies.

You are choosing between six ways of getting a product built, and an agency is only one of them. Here is where each one genuinely wins, including where we lose.

Hiring an engineering team

Better than us when the product is your company, you will be building on it for years, and you can absorb three to six months of hiring before anyone writes code.

We are better when you need it built once, properly, now — and you would rather not carry permanent salary for a build with an end date.

An offshore team

Better than us when cost is the binding constraint and you have a technical lead in-house who can specify the work and review what comes back.

We are better when nobody internally can hold the architecture. Offshore executes a specification well; it will not tell you the specification is wrong, and that is usually the expensive part.

A technical co-founder

Better than us when you can find the right person, and you would rather give away equity than spend cash.

We are better when the search has already cost you six months. A co-founder is a decade-long decision; do not make it because you need a build.

No-code

Better than us when you are pre-validation. If nobody has paid or committed yet, build the cheapest possible test — it answers the question for a fraction of the cost.

We are better when you have outgrown it, or you need real multi-tenancy, permissions or compliance. Those are the walls no-code hits, and hitting them mid-growth is expensive.

An AI-assisted build

Better than us when you are technical and prototyping. It is genuinely fast for that.

We are better when it has to hold. The parts that matter — data model, tenancy, auth, security posture — are exactly the parts a model will produce plausibly and wrongly, and you will not know until it breaks in front of customers.

Waiting

Better than us when you do not yet know whether anyone wants this. Sometimes the correct answer is not to build, and we will say so.

We are better when the delay is now costing you more than the build would. Demand does not usually wait for the right quarter.

When we are the wrong choice, plainly. If you are pre-validation and nobody has paid or committed. If you need it in six weeks for a fixed low price — something gets sacrificed and it is always the architecture. If you want a permanent CTO rather than a build and a handover. Or if you want to pay in equity: we are a studio, not an investor.

Tell us you are pre-validation and we will still tell you what we would build to test the idea cheaply, even though it is not work we would be doing.

You will be working with the person who owns it.

Arman Solakian

Founder & CEO · Senior Engineer

14+ years building and shipping software, and the person who reads your brief, leads discovery and oversees the engineering on your build. You deal with him directly — not an account manager, and not a hand-off once the work is won.

This is what “senior-only” means in practice: the person setting the architecture is the person you spoke to.

Roughly what this costs, before you ask us.

Most agencies make you request a call to find out whether you can afford them. These are the bands we actually build in, so you can place yourself against them now.

Lean MVP

£30,000 – £70,000

2–4 months to launch

Core user flows, basic authentication and enough product to validate the market. A tight feature set, built properly, in front of real users.

Structured V1 Platform

£70,000 – £160,000

6–8 months to launch

A robust product base: multiple user roles, billing integration and custom dashboards. The version customers depend on rather than trial.

Scalable Enterprise SaaS

£160,000 – £350,000+

8+ months to launch

Advanced multi-tenancy, complex API integrations, high-security compliance and AI capability. Usually driven by a contract you cannot close without it.

What the estimate is, and what it is not

What you get back

An indicative range against the bands above, the scope we think it needs, and a straight answer on the best way to build it — including if that is not with us.

It is indicative, not a quote

A number given before discovery is a starting point. It firms up once we have gone through the detail with you, and we will tell you which way we expect it to move.

What moves the number

Integration count, compliance requirements, how many user roles the product needs, and whether design exists. Feature count moves it far less than people expect.

Answers before you ask.

Weekly sprints, each ending in a demo of working software. You see progress as it happens, and priorities can shift between sprints when the market tells you something new.
Product builds sit in three bands: £30,000–£70,000 for a lean MVP, £70,000–£160,000 for a structured V1 platform, and £160,000–£350,000+ for scalable enterprise SaaS. The Investment section above sets out what sits in each and what moves the number. Every proposal includes a full breakdown of scope, deliverables and cost, with no surprises later.
Yes. Everyone from solo founders launching a first MVP to enterprise teams scaling platforms that already have users.
Ongoing partnership: maintenance plans from £299/month covering updates, security, backups, performance, and priority support.
